Burritos might be the most wonderful kind of food in the land of fooddom. No two burritos are the same and burritos can be made specifically to match your taste. Throw on some hot sauce and it’s perfect.
Pipes Cafe in Newport Beach was my destination for brunch this Sunday. They have four types of breakfast burritos and a bunch of different egg based sandwiches and more. I went for the breakfast burrito which is made with like six scambeled eggs, pico de gallo, cheese, onion and served with some hot sauce. A totally filling breakfast backed by some killer coffee eaten on their outdoor patio makes the start to a perfect late-start Sunday.
Pipes might have the friendliest staff who remember regulars, always greats everyone who comes into their restaurant. Pipes is perfect for a morning of people watching since the clientele is mixture of families, Newport Beach residents and hipsters who are enjoying the morning after meal from a long night out.
